A big giant thank you and congratulations to everyone who auditioned and applied for positions for Emma, A Pop Musical!!
Please remember that we couldn't take everyone, but that your hard work and willingness to put yourself out there does not go unnoticed at all. Not everyone was as brave as you were to get out there and try. For those of you not cast or chosen for a tech position...don't be disheartened. It can be disappointing, but this is not a measurement of your worth or ability. For those of you who were cast or chosen for a tech position, you have a lot of work ahead of you, and it is NOT going to be easy. You will loaded into Google Classroom tonight, and tomorrow an update will happen on VSM. We will have a full company meeting through Zoom very soon, and as soon as Leadership meets (director, SM, and ASM's) we will coordinate that and post the info on Classroom. Congratulations. Thank you so much for submitting an audition for Emma, A Pop Musical! This is a new and weird way of casting a show, so just bear with us. First of all, PLEASE understand that we cannot cast everyone. It is no slight on you, but it may just not be the show for you, and that's ok. Second, also understand that if you didn't get a callback, that doesn't necessarily mean that you are not getting a role. So, check the casting tomorrow night for the final results. If you are a BOY...guess what? There ARE NO CALLBACKS!! What does that mean? It means that you should just check the cast list tomorrow night. That leads us to the girls. Here is how this is going to work. If your name is listed below, you will need to submit a second song. You will have 3 to choose from. Choose the one that you feel you can WAIL! Then, play the song on an earbud of some sort (listening to the track listed below) and film yourself singing it. Each video has lyrics, so that will help you sing along with it. Submit the video through the link at the very bottom of this page by 4pm tomorrow (Thursday, January 7th) People who need to sing again: Isnerys Carrisquillo Madison Gulmatico Kaylin Hurley Lizzy Legere Sophie Littig Alex Magana Alyssa Manzanares Tori Peterson Brooke Singleton Kendal Villa Here are your song choices (click on the title for video): How Will I Know - sing from the beginning to 1:04 Brave - sing from 0:17-0:57 Turn the Beat Around - sing from 0:22-1:08 PICK ONE OF THESE!! Don't forget to SELL it! Once you've recorded this, submit it HERE Thank you to everyone who auditioned and applied to work on our two One-Acts (Help Desk and Homeschooled) that will be creating our Behind the Computer Curtain livestream! Please check your VSM account to see your rehearsal schedules. Crew, I will be in touch with you about your schedules.
Also, please check the cast lists. Your name may be listed more than once. CONGRATULATIONS!! I can't wait to start working on this show! Hi Everyone! Thank you so much for your time and effort today. I’ve never done Zoom auditions like this, and other than some technical hiccups, you all showed such professionalism and grace, and I’m so honored that you came out to audition. Before you read on, please understand the following: -I may not be able to cast everyone. If you are not cast, PLEASE don’t be disheartened. We had a really large turnout. -Please also understand that I do not answer parent/guardian emails about casting choices. I would rather have the conversation with you (the student) in person, since this is about YOUR audition. -Starting next week, I am happy to give you your feedback notes on your audition performance. Since this is educational theatre, it’s important for you to take advantage of this opportunity to learn what other people see when you are auditioning. Now….for callbacks. READ CAREFULLY. Below, you will find your name if you are being called back, who you are being paired with, the script, character and page numbers you will be reading. You will see the time you are going to be working with me on Zoom. Below is the Zoom link (it’s our regular class Zoom link). Join Zoom Meeting https://losal-org.zoom.us/j/92910879602?pwd=OUUzZFV0ZEFUS2lZNzc4Q3AxcU1LQT09 Meeting ID: 929 1087 9602 Passcode: 474243 Look in Google Classroom and find the script for your callback. Either print those pages, or make sure that you have access to it on a device for the callback. You are not necessarily being looked at for the exact role you’re reading for in the callback, but I want to see what you can do. You are NOT expected to have memorized these lines for tomorrow. I am looking for BIG, BOLD character choices. These plays are both farces, so the characters are big and broad. I want to see you have so much fun. Bring your energy, your volume, and your enthusiasm. And, if you are assigned to read a character in the opposite gender, feel free to change the pronouns and other markers. 3:00-3:10pm - Help Desk page 6-9 Jaiden Edwardson - Angel Allyson Bragg- Jeralyn 3:10-3:20 - Help Desk pg 9-12 Michael Sandoval- Boris Ethan Nemeth - Tanner 3:20-3:30- Help Desk pg 12-14 Elle Garcia - Talula Shane Prunty- Carter 3:30-3:40 - Help Desk pg 18-20 Ro Fisk- Monique Alyssa Manzanares- Preston 3:40-3:50 - Help Desk pg 24-26 (stop after Brent’s line ‘Come on!’) Jonathan Reyes - Brent Tori Peterson - Maria 3:50-4:00 - Help Desk pg 29-32 Summer Rogers- Yamira Sophie Littig- Chase 4:00-4:10 - Homeschooled pg 10-12 Michael Savic- Gary Hayley Dunn- Teresa Tanner Linn- Clown/Eugene 4:10-4:20 - Homeschooled pg 10-12 Dimitri June - Gary Brooke Singleton- Teresa Eben O’Brien - Clown/Eugene 4:20-4:30 - Homeschooled pg 10-12 Sam Wildman - Gary Izzy Ruiz - Teresa Izzy White - Clown/Eugene 4:30-4:40 - Homeschooled pg 14-16 Nathan Spolter- Phil Lucas McHugh - Matt and Brendan Inserys Carrasquillo - Daria and Ian Chloe Perz - Morgan Grace DeJongh- Maria 4:40-4:50 - Homeschooled pg 20-21 Madison Gulmatico - Teresa Landon Small - Gary 4:50-5:00 - Help Desk pg 6-9 Ria Vicente - Angel Lizzy Legere - Jeralyn 5:00-5:10 - Help Desk pg 9-12 Nikki Ocampo - Boris Alex Magana - Tanner 5:10-5:20 - Help Desk pg 12-14 Lily Gomoljak - Talula Cameron Cleve - Carter Please email me with any questions. The class lists will be sent to the counselors, so they will be able to adjust your schedule accordingly. I will be contacting you and your parents through email with a welcome shortly. IMPORTANT!!!! We are getting our 7th period Theatre Production class next year! This is geared towards those students who plan on getting involved in the mainstage productions next year, and would like class credit for all of the work you do! It is a semester-long course (Fall- fall play; Spring- spring musical) so if you would like to be added to the roster, please email me at: scastiglione@losal.org Beginning Drama David Asraf Alexzander Barr Diana Bernal Memphis Boles Allyson Bragg Shaylynn Colunga Aiden Cruz Jacob Dines Naomi Dixon Zack Dollins Hayley Dunn Karli Engel Eden Fisk Kaitlyn Fox Justin Freyre Amia Gee Evelyn Gomez Renata Gonzalez Bryce Haynes-Richardson Macy Helm Ximena Hernandez-Limon Jocelyn Jackson Daniel Jacot Diego Jimenez-Valazquez Jackson Keller Mia Khalek Caroline Legere Bryn Maisenbacher Ian Margetis Jordan Marroquin Lucas McHugh Ty Murphy Farrah Odrich Makenna Parent Eva Parhami Sidney Patterson Evelyn Pistulka Kaile Rex Caenan Salg Audrey Savedra Michael Savic Eric Shellenbergar Elizabeth Siersma Tabitha Stanfill Lilly Stangeland Benjamin Utley Paula Valenzuela Jacob Welch Isaiah Wempe Nora Wilson Intermediate Drama Alexandria Amescua Yuki Bengs Amanda Brune Rene Cardenas Toni Clingan-Puhr Nova Dawsey Grace DeJongh Emily Fitzgerald Zoe Garate Olivia Graser Percy Guerin Alexis Jones Dimitrios June Connor Larson Tanner Linn Sophie Littig Devo Macias Sela Moore Diego Mungia Eben O’Brien Alisha Packard Chloe Perz George Quintanilla John Reinard Jonathan Reyes Jack Roberts Reanne Robinson Miranda Rojes Gordon Romali Isabella Ruiz Bria Singleton Brooke Singleton Landon Small Nathan Spolter Ava Tello Ria Vincente Isabella White Advanced Drama Joseph Curiel Stephen Dawsey Lily Gomoljak Mickey Guldimann Madison Gulmatico Phoebe Heoffken Lizzy Legere Mady Lopez Alex Magana Alyssa Manzanares Jo Murphy Ethan Nemeth Nikki Ocampo Ivan Perdomo Tori Peterson Shane Prunty John Reinard Summer Rogers Lizzie Schmidt Hannah Thiel Luna Timmerwilke Kendal Villa Sam Wildman Avery Yanasheski Thank you to everyone who auditioned.
