The English-Speaking Union National Shakespeare Competition
The ESU National Shakespeare Competition is an opportunity for students to compete by performing a 20-line Shakespeare monologue and a Shakespeare sonnet in the hopes of progressing to further levels.
Students start by participating in the Los Al Shakespeare Competition, held in November. Judged by a panel of teachers, the first, second, and third place performers will have the opportunity to perform in front of an audience.
The first place winner will perform at the Semi-Finals in Los Angeles in February. If students advance from there, there is the state level, then the National Competition in NYC.
